University Circle Spring Blooms Tracker 2026

Spring is one of the most beautiful times of year in University Circle. Follow along as cherry blossoms, magnolias, tulips, and other seasonal blooms come to life along Wade Lagoon, near Severance Music Center, at Cleveland Botanical Garden, and throughout the neighborhood.

We'll share updates as the blooms progress so you can plan your visit at just the right moment.

"Peak bloom" happens when about 70% of blossoms are open. Once they bloom, the display typically lasts 4–10 days depending on the weather. Cool, calm conditions help extend the show, while warm or windy weather can shorten it. Magnolias are especially delicate, so timing really can make all the difference.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning regular, early mornings and late evenings offer a quieter, more relaxed way to take in the blooms. You'll likely have the lagoon mostly to yourself, except for a few photographers.

Parking tips:

• The most convenient options are the museum garages or metered street parking along Wade Oval Drive or East Blvd.
• Free street parking (very limited) is available on MLK Jr. Drive, closer to the Maltz Performing Arts Center.
