Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with University Circle. Enjoy special programs and activities in honor of Dr. King throughout the week.
Students from Tri-C’s Vocal Arts and Dance Mastery Programs present a free community performance of music, dance, and spoken word reflecting on Dr. King’s teachings of peace and social justice for all.

Faculty, students, and guest artists will present a concert honoring MLK in their Glick Recital Hall. This event is free and open to the public; registration is required.
Sunday, January 14
3:00 p.m.
Join The Cleveland Orchestra for a free concert commemorating the 60 years since the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. At the concert, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2024 Service in the Arts Awards will also be presented during the celebration.

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with free community performances and activities! This family-friendly event features a wide variety of community ensembles live from Severance’s Mandel Concert Hall and Reinberger Chamber Hall. Come as you are; you are welcome at Severance!

The Rink will host free ice skating on MLK Day with reduced pricing and student discounts leading up to Monday. The Rink will be open daily, Friday through Monday, from 1-8 p.m.
The Cozad-Bates House is the only pre-Civil War home remaining in University Circle. A new interpretive center highlights this area’s history as a center of anti-slavery activism and honors those seeking freedom through indoor exhibits and outdoor installations.

The Cleveland History Center will be open on MLK Day with free admission for all. $3 per ticket for carousel rides and $3 per person for tours of the Hay House.

Each year, Case Western Reserve University honors Martin Luther King Jr.—the holiday, the man and the legacy—with a celebration that includes a range of activities including workshops, films, panel discussions and acclaimed speakers. All members of the university and the community at large are invited to observe King's holiday and recognize his commitment to social justice and global peace. This year's keynote address will be given by media personality and political analyst, Tiffany Cross, in the Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation Ballroom in the Tinkham-Veale University Center. This event is free and open to the campus community and the general public, but registration is strongly encouraged.
