WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays Announces Summer Lineup

University Circle Inc. (UCI) announced the lineup of WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays this summer, made possible by PNC Bank. The event features 10 free concerts taking place from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday evenings, June 12 through Aug. 14.
“The past few weeks have been feeling more like Spring, which makes me eager to spread out a blanket on Wade Oval and enjoy great music with this community,” said UCI President Kate Borders. “This year expect all your favorites and new elements such as the Cleveland Orchestra. We are also bringing back a special evening celebrating the 4th. Summer can’t get here soon enough!”
The 2024 WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays lineup features a mix of crowd-pleasing favorites and amazing new talent representing multiple musical genres:

Opening acts featuring up-and-coming local talent and intermission acts will accompany many shows. Returning for a third year are four cultural celebration nights that highlight Cleveland’s diverse communities, including Juneteenth (June 19), Disability Pride (July 24), Latinx Heritage (July 10) and LGBTQ+ Pride (Aug. 14). Each celebration night will highlight organizations and individuals that work in and represent these communities.
“Wade Oval Wednesdays marks the beginning of summer in Cleveland,” said Pat Pastore, PNC regional president for Cleveland. “Supporting a strong community and connecting with our neighbors is important to PNC and University Circle. Events like Wade Oval Wednesdays provide so much joy to the community and we are thrilled to be part of a tradition that brings together neighbors from near and far.”
Throughout the season, attendees can look forward to the return of local food trucks and vendors, the beer & wine garden and kid-friendly activities.
