University Circle Inc. Installs Electric Vehicle Charging Station
Posted September 08, 2021 in Press Releases
University Circle has a new charging station for electric vehicle (EV) drivers to plug in and power up. University Circle Inc. (UCI) installed a Level II EV Charging Station at the Ford Road Garage, located at 1980 Ford Road. The charging station was installed with funding made available through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency with 20% matching funds from UCI.
“Electric vehicles are gaining popularity in the United States, and some auto manufacturers have announced plans to switch to all electric vehicles in the coming years,” said UCI Director of Transportation Annie Pease. “University Circle is investing in the infrastructure that will allow us to accommodate greater numbers of electric vehicles in the neighborhood.”
The charging station in the Ford Road Garage has two ports, allowing for two cars to power up simultaneously. It can be accessed on the second level of the garage. Regular parking rates apply, and the cost to charge an electric vehicle is $0.20 per kilowatt hour.
