UCI Announces 2017 WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays Lineup

Cleveland, OH (May 24, 2017) - University Circle Inc. (UCI) is excited to announce the lineup for the 2017 WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays concert series. These free concerts take place on Wednesday evenings from June 14-August 30 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. This year's lineup has something for everyone, from Rock to Reggae, to Motown and Jazz.

June 14 – Speedbumps (Indie Rock)

June 21 – Councilman Conwell & the Footprints (Motown, R&B)

June 28 – Carlos Jones & The P.L.U.S. Band (Reggae)

Fireworks at 9pm

July 5 – Danny Ray & The Boys (Blues, Motown)

July 12 – Mary’s Lane (Irish Folk Rock)

July 19 – Wesley Bright & The Honeytones (Soul)

Movie Night at 9 p.m.: Sing

July 26 – Son Gitano (Latin, Salsa)

Healthy WOW! Night & ADA Cleveland Night

August 2 – The Realthing (Jazz)

August 9 – Welshly Arms (Rock)

August 16 – Abby Normal & The Detroit Lean (Ska, Rock, Disco, Swing)

UCI has once again partnered with local organizations to enhance the visitor experience. The PNC Grow Up Great Mobile Learning Adventure will be at WOW! on August 16 and 23, allowing parents to participate in fun learning activities with their young children. RTA's will join us on the Oval to encourage visitors to take public transportation to WOW! each week and they will also be on-site to give away prizes and offer free activities. The Cleveland Public Library will bring their popular Book Box back to Wade Oval.

Due to popular demand, UCI will once again host a fireworks display after the music on June 28. On July 26 we’ve partnered with University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic for Healthy WOW! Night along with ADA Cleveland Night.

Visitors to this 14th season of WOW! have come to expect delicious food and activities for the entire family and this year will be no exception! Food and snacks will be available from your favorite Greater University Circle vendors along with some of Cleveland’s famous food trucks. Beer & wine will be available for purchase. Children will enjoy free activities each week, along with bounce houses on the lawn.
