Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto is one of the most formidable works in the repertoire, and Yefim Bronfman shines in meeting its technical and artistic demands. A regular collaborator with The Cleveland Orchestra, Bronfman is at home both in this titanic concerto and onstage at Severance, where Rachmaninoff himself performed the same work in 1932. Guest conductor Elim Chan pairs this with Rachmaninoff’s final composition, his thrilling and vibrant Symphonic Dances.
