Inspired by the legacy of Adella Prentiss Hughes, founder of The Cleveland Orchestra, this concert of Clarinet Quintets by Brahms and Mozart will feature Isabel Trautwein (violin), Robert Woolfrey (clarinet), Will Bender (viola), and Tonya Ell (cello), alongside violinist and Cleveland native Célina Behoux, currently enrolled at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
Continuing the celebration of Adella, attendees will have exclusive viewing of recently discovered items from Adella’s collection, soon to be entrusted to The Cleveland Orchestra archives. This memorabilia traces Adella’s initial rise as a brilliant impresario long before there was a 'Cleveland Orchestra.'
This performance will take place inside the Community Mausoleum Friday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately 75 minutes.
Classically Lake View is a series of four chamber music concerts under the artistic direction of The Cleveland Orchestra violinist Isabel Trautwein, featuring an ensemble of The Cleveland Orchestra musicians alongside outstanding young artists. Generously supported by the Paul M. Angell Foundation.
