Cleveland History Center
The Baseball Heritage Museum is located in the former ticket office at historic League Park, 6601 Lexington Road in Cleveland OH, the original home of Cleveland Baseball. Step into the Museum and step back into history. Everyone played at League Park. Cy Young pitched the opening game here in 1891. Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run here in 1929. Joe DiMaggio got his last hit in his 54 game hitting streak here in 1941 before it ended at Municipal Stadium the next day. The Indians only at home World Series win happened here in 1920. The park was also home to the Negro League champion Cleveland Buckeyes from 1942 to 1950.
