Celebrate MLK Day in University Circle with Special Events and a Free Shuttle Service

University Circle Inc. (UCI) invites the community to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a week of special programs and activities from Sunday, January 19 through Saturday, January 25.

Participating institutions include:

• The Cleveland Orchestra
• The Music Settlement
• Cleveland Public Library MLK Branch
• The Cleveland Museum of Art
• Cleveland Museum of Natural History
• Cleveland History Center
• Cleveland Botanical Garden
• Case Western Reserve University
• Cozad-Bates House

In addition to the annual lineup of events, UCI is hosting a free shuttle service and food truck park on Monday, January 20. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a shuttle will run every 15 minutes between select locations, allowing guests to hop on and off throughout the day. The CircleLink Shuttle will continue its regular daily service. Local food trucks will be serving food from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the UCI Community Room on Magnolia Drive.

Visitors to the food truck park will be invited to record their personal Circle story - sharing what University Circle means to them and how it has shaped their experiences. UCI is also seeking community feedback on its Connecting the Circle plan, a vision for the future of University Circle. Guests will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on what they want to see and feel in the neighborhood as UCI works toward an even more inclusive and accessible district.
