For seventy-five years, Cleveland Botanical Garden has been one of Northeast Ohio’s treasures. It is a sanctuary for those who live and work in the city; a source of inspiration and information for gardeners; a living laboratory for students, teachers,... more
Join us for an afternoon of traditional Japanese dance and music!
The performance will open with Cleveland’s own Shojoji Dancers, who have been delighting and educating local audiences since the 1950s. Following a brief intermission, during which guests can explore the Gardens, Columbus Koto Ensemble will take the stage. The koto is a traditional Japanese instrument, similar to a harp or a dulcimer. With their broad musical repertoire from folk tunes to anime favorites, the Columbus Koto Ensemble showcases the history, culture, and versatility of this beautiful sound.
