February 29 is leap day, and there’s no better place to spend your extra evening than the Cleveland Museum of Natural History! Gather your friends and hop on over to the Museum for Think & Drink with the Extinct, the region's premier 21+ after-hours event.
Join us as we celebrate the return of some of the Museum’s most iconic specimens, including the sauropod dinosaur Haplocanthosaurus delfsi, affectionately known as Happy. Discovered by a Museum team nearly 70 years ago, Happy is the only known adult specimen of this species complete enough to display in its entirety. Admire this towering giant in our new Visitor Hall as you enjoy everything Think & Drink has to offer:
Plus, join our astronomers for special shows in the Nathan and Fannye Shafran Planetarium to learn more about leap day and discover what’s popping in the night sky. Delve into hops and fermentation with our partners from Cleveland Whiskey and The Cleveland Brew Shop. And visit with our scientists as we leap through time to explore the Museum’s past, present, and future.
Museum doors will open at 6pm. A limited selection of warm and cold foods will be available for purchase in Origins Café. Beer and wine will be available for purchase until 8:30pm.
