If you received a traffic ticket from a University Circle Police Officer, you must attend the Cleveland Municipal Court.

To Follow Up on Your Ticket

The back of your pink ticket slip provides information on the court date and time you are required to appear for your hearing. If you cannot read your ticket clearly, you can call the Municipal Clerk of Courts.

Online Case Search

Go to the Municipal Court website: https://clevelandmunicipalcourt.org/contact-us
In the menu, choose "Case Information."
Select "I Accept."
Choose the "Smart Search" option.
Enter a Record Number or Name (in Last, First Middle Suffix format) to view the case docket and status.

General Court Case & Warrant Information (Cuyahoga County)

If you have a pending warrant or need detailed case information (e.g., bond amount, court dates), you must contact the Clerk of Courts for the specific county or city where the warrant was issued.

Towed Vehicle Information

Retrieving Your Vehicle: Required Steps

To successfully retrieve your vehicle from the impound lot, you must be prepared to complete the following steps:

1. Resolve Violations: You must handle any outstanding tickets or violations that led to the impound, such as unpaid traffic tickets or expired registration.
2. Pay Fees: Be prepared to pay all accumulated fines, impound, and storage fees.
3. Proof of Ownership: You must have proof of ownership and current vehicle insurance ready.
4. Arrange Release: Once all financial and legal requirements are met, you can arrange for the release of your vehicle.

!Important Note: Before traveling to the impound lot, always call ahead with your vehicle's make, model, color, and license plate number. Ask the staff exactly what documentation and forms of payment you will need to bring to retrieve your vehicle.
