Project Manager

The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager plans and designates project resources; prepares budgets; monitors progress and resources; and keeps stakeholders informed and engaged. This role will support ticket marketing programs with the goal of reaching new audiences, growing loyalty, and increasing ticket sales for The Cleveland Orchestra.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans by collaborating with Sales and Marketing team to determine and define project scope and objectives for marketing and advertising campaigns (subscription campaigns, individual ticket campaigns, loyalty rewards program, and content marketing). Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner. Provide guidance on deadlines and timeline targets.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress. Monitor progress and adjust as needed. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement. Provide the team with overall project progress reports, as needed and through weekly departmental meetings.
  • Prepare budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements and track project costs to meet budgets. Process all project-related invoices. Track short-term and forecast long-term expenses to ensure project operations remain within approved budgets.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication with all departments to build overall marketing plan, project timelines, project information and assets, and updates/changes to all departments.
  • Support Philanthropy grant proposals, sponsor recognition, and reporting.
  • Coordinate acquisition of assets from artist management teams and producers.
    • Provide on-site support with partners and vendors at performances and events, as needed
  • Arrange promotion fulfillment and ticket requests.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, along with 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Demonstrated independent, mature judgment.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional image and demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of classical music repertoire not required, but a plus.
  • No or limited travel required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
