Greater Circle Living is an employer assisted housing program created to encourage eligible employees of Greater University Circle institutions to live near work. The innovative program was started in 2008 to help employees purchase, rent, or repair homes in Greater University Circle.
Receive a forgivable loan up to $30,000. Greater Circle Living provides forgivable loans of up to $30,000! All eligible nonprofit and VA Hospital (both Full and Part time) employees working in Greater University Circle neighborhoods are able to receive a $10,000 forgivable loan provided by the Cleveland Foundation. Certain employees offer additional loan amounts up to $20,000. Additional incentives for purchase, rental and exterior repair are provided by participating employers. Learn more at greatercircleliving.org.
Save on rental, too. Employees may be eligible for rental incentives up to $1,500.
GCL provides up to $8,000 in matching funds for exterior renovations for employees who live in the district and are owner occupants. Employees must contribute a 25% match of the requested funds.
Open to eligible employees of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Museum of Art, Judson and University Hospitals. For complete program rules, participating employers, and eligibility requirements, click here.
Join a growing community! More employees are choosing to LIVE NEAR WORK and use alternative transportation which reduces commuting time and costs. The Greater University Circle neighborhoods are alive and thriving with world-class education, healthcare and cultural institutions, as well as retail and entertainment hubs. Current investiments include the “Opportunity Corridor,” a planned boulevard that will run from E. 55th Street at Interstate 490 to E. 105th Street in University Circle.
The Greater University Circle neighborhoods are Hough, Glenville, Fairfax, Little Italy, Central-Midtown, Buckeye-Shaker, East Cleveland (SW Quad), St.Clair-Superior and University Circle.
