The McGaffin Carillon is one of about 200 cast bell carillons in North America and the only one in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. Its 51 bells weigh a total of about 21,000 lbs and are played by a person... more
51 bells, 21,000 pounds of bronze, one performer. Guest Alan Bowman from Dayton and Mariemont, OH, plays music old and new, classical and folk, serious and popular. Bring a picnic, a lawn chair or blanket and listen from the lawn or the campus areas around the tower. The concert is free, there is free parking in the Euclid Ave lot in front of the tower.
