University Circle Spring Blooms Tracker

Springbloomstracker

Follow along to see when the beautiful cherry blossoms, magnolias, and other spring blooms along Wade Lagoon and throughout the Circle will be fully bloomed. “Peak bloom” occurs when at least 70% of the blossoms are open. Once open, flowers last from 4-10 days, depending on the weather conditions. Cool, calm weather can extend the bloom period, while warm, unsettled weather can shorten it. The magnolias are even more sensitive to the weather so plan your visit accordingly.

Read this blog post about our favorite places to view the blooms in and around the Circle and follow us on Instagram for up-to-date videos of the spring blooms!

2024 Expected Peak Bloom: Late March/Early April

This is just our best guess based on how the blooms are progressing. Please refrain from pulling branches and picking off the blooms! We want to keep the beauty intact for all to enjoy.

Wednesday, April 10: almost past peak

Many of the cherry blossoms and magnolias are past peak or are starting to be past peak. There are a few remaining that are at peak! With the recent and upcoming weather, we don't expect them to hang on much longer.
