Founded in Cleveland in 1974, National History Day is a project-based learning experience for students in grades 6-12 that builds college and career skills for the 21st century by making the historical past relevant to the present and the future. Once judging is complete the general public is encouraged to visit the Cleveland History Center and engage with the students who conducted research based on this year’s theme, Triumph & Tragedy, and created original projects like papers, an exhibit, performance, website, or a digital documentary.
