We are partnering with six of Greater University Circle’s restaurants and talented chefs on cooking demonstrations that you can try at home!
So, how will this work? Each featured restaurant will create a food kit filled with the ingredients needed to follow the cooking demonstration recipe, plus special surprises for the kids at home. The kits can be purchased and picked up at the restaurant the week prior to the demonstration. Would you rather buy your own ingredients? No problem! An ingredients list will be provided the Friday prior to each demonstration.
Meal Kits are on sale now for all dates. Sales will close at 9:00 a.m. the Thursday prior to each cooking demonstration. If you'd like to purchase a kit after sales close, please contact the participating restaurant. You can purchase kits inidivually or in bulk. Meal kits will be available for pickup during business hours of the participating restaurant on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Final details will be shared after purchase.

We are teaming up with the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning (CAL) to work with neighbors and professional artists to create beautiful, large-scale art installations on Wade Oval. These installations will form an exhibit called Voices on View. The art will address timely themes such as immigration, racial injustice, education, and voting. Artwork will be installed in four parts over the course of seven weeks on August 7, August 21, September 4, and September 18.
Professional artists creating Voices on View include Augusto Bordelois and Angelica Pozo. Bordelois is a community teaching artist whose work includes the Shaker Heights Fire Department Centennial Mural, art installations in area schools, and many others. Pozo is best known as the mosaic artist behind Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Plaza, “The Winding Wall of Fairfax” at Quincy Park, and "Marketplace/Meetingplace: An Urban Memorial" in the Gateway District downtown.
Onsite educational signage will accompany each installation to encourage deeper understanding of the art and its subject matter. Click here to download the Voices on View family education packet.

We have teamed up with Never, Ever Give Up Cleveland to bring the “Big Yellow Mailbox” to University Circle. The mailbox, located on Wade Oval, collects completely anonymous stories and letters and shares them with the public.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project asks individuals to share letters that express gratitude, support, or encouragement. The letters aim to reach Clevelanders and people throughout the world who have been adversely affected by COVID-19 with messages of hope.
Write your letter at home and drop it off on Wade Oval. While you're at it, grab lunch nearby at one of your favorite restaurants in the Circle.
