Community Development University East Building Lighting

University East Building Lighting

The University East Building Lighting is the latest iteration of UCI’s Euclid Gateway Vision project. It brings light and energy to University Circle’s Central Gateway and positions Uptown as an epicenter of art and technology. The lighting design includes LED color-changing façade lights and storefront lighting. The lighting scheme was designed by Ron Friedman of Art & Science Lighting Design, the lighting designer of Tower City and the Westin Downtown Cleveland. Harrington Electric managed the installation.

The UE Building, located at 11328 Euclid Avenue, will occasionally light up in support of nationally recognized holidays, commemorations, and non-profit awareness campaigns, or to show support for events and activities in the Circle.

Looking to have your organization represented on the University East Building? To request a lighting, download the UE Lighting Application and send inquiries to UElighting@universitycircle.org.

Lighting of the building is solely the discretion of University Circle Inc., the owners of the building. To request a specific color, we ask that this short application be completed one month prior to the requested date.

UCI will promote the lighting requests via our social media channels (if schedule permits) and welcome your organization to do the same.

All requests will be given thoughtful consideration, however we cannot accommodate all requests. UCI reserves the right to decline requests that are of a nature we deem inappropriate, that are political in nature, or that may stir controversy. The UE Building will give priority to Circle Institutions and marketing partners.

Decisions of the UCI staff regarding lighting are final. UCI is not responsible for technical difficulties that may occur out of our control.
