Detour Suggested for Lane Restrictions at Chester Avenue & E. 105th Street

Due to Opportunity Corridor construction, the right lane on southbound East 105th Street from Park Lane through the Chester Avenue intersection is closed through mid-November.

Chester Avenue is restricted to two lanes eastbound and one lane westbound through East 105th Street through early-November.

East 105th Street is  reduced to one lane in each direction between Carnegie and Euclid Avenues through mid-November for widening work. Access to local businesses is maintained.

Pedestrians heading east-west on Chester should follow pedestrian detour signs on site and cross E 105th on the south side of the intersection.

Auto traffic is suggested to follow the detour route below to avoid southbound delays.

Update January 10, 2017: All widening work associated with Opportunity Corridor on E 105th between Quebec and Euclid Ave has been completed. Utility work will keep E 105th reduced to one lane in either direction between Mt. Sinai Drive and Chester until the beginning of February 2017.

RTA Bridge Rehab Project over MLK Dr

RTA bridge repair work has started on the Red Line bridge over MLK Drive between Ambleside Drive and Cedar Ave. Vehicular traffic on MLK Drive will be impacted periodically by lane closures throughout the course of the project.

Bicycle and pedestrian traffic will be impacted as the repair will affect one bridge at a time and temporary support structures are being constructed at each abutment which must be placed within the limits of the sidewalks and bike trail. Cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to follow the detour information and map below.

Heading north on the Lake-to-Lakes trail, exit the trail onto Stokes Blvd on the southwest side of Ambler Park. Head north on Stokes and turn right onto Cedar Ave. Turn left onto MLK Drive and proceed to trail.

Heading south on the Lake-to-Lakes trail, after crossing Carnegie Ave, turn right onto Cedar Ave. Continue for one block and turn left onto Stokes Blvd. Head south and meet the Lake-to-Lakes trail running along the south edge of Ambler Park.

This project is scheduled for completion in November 2016.

Adelbert Road and Euclid Avenue Restriction

Beginning Monday, June 6, utility work will begin in the east side of the roadway on Adelbert Road between Euclid Avenue and Circle Drive. One lane of traffic will be provided during construction and access to all adjacent driveways will be maintained. This work will continue until the first week of October 2016 and will take place during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Moving Greater University Circle Transportation & Mobility Study

UCI and its partners at the City of Cleveland and NOACA recently completed the Moving Greater University Circle Transportation & Mobility Study. The project assessed areas of need and opportunity in our transportation system and identified a series of short and long-term strategies for effective transportation management. Additional work is now under way to develop an implementation plan to carry these recommendations forward.  For more information, visit the project page here.
