Beginning Tuesday, September 19, Carnegie Ave. will have lane closures due to a Dominion Energy Project. Just east of Stearns Rd. on Carnegie Ave.:
Additionally, Stearns is reduced to one lane southbound through the middle of October. See the map below depicting the impacted project area.
On Sunday, September 17th from 12-6pm, East Boulevard between Superior Ave and Ford Drive and Ford Drive between East Boulevard and Bellflower Road will be closed for CiCLEvia East, an Open Streets event. Police and/or security officers will staff all closures along the route. Traffic will be maintained on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, E 105th Street and Bellflower Road. Traffic will be permitted to cross the route with assistance from an officer at Wade Park and E 108th Street. See below for a closure map. You can read more about CiCLEvia East here.

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's Doan Valley Storage Tunnel project will impact traffic in University Circle beginning Thursday, August 24.
Construction will close the westernmost northbound lane of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd near Ambler Park between North Park Blvd. and the bridge north of Ambleside Drive. See the map below. This closure will remain in effect through November 2021.
In addition, the bike path through Ambler Park will be closed through the end of October as crews work to relocate underground utilities through the park. Signage re-routing cyclists to an alternate route will be clearly visible.

The City of Cleveland will be conducting street cleaning on Friday, August 18 throughout areas of University Circle. Street parking in those areas will not be availablefrom 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Streets potentially affected are included inside the red barrier in the map below. Please watch for no parking signs posted throughout the neighborhood before parking a vehicle. As the City of Cleveland completes street cleaning, the no parking signs will be removed
Beginning Monday, August 14, construction will begin on the enhanced pedestrian crossing from the Cedar-University RTA bus station across Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Pedestrians are encouraged to follow the signed pedestrian detour. Drivers are encouraged to take caution of the increased number of students using the crossings in the area given the construction project and the beginning of the school year for John Hay and Cleveland School of the Arts.
Starting Wednesday, July 12th, the sidewalk on East Boulevard between Bellflower Road and the Severance Hall Parking Garage will be closed for construction work associated with Case Western Reserve University's Nord Family Greenway project. Pedestrians are encouraged to follow the detour as shown below. There will be ADA accesible ramps in place to facilitate safe crossings along the detour. The sidewalk closure will be in effect through the end of July.
Union Industrial Contractors, Inc. will begin repair work on the structural arches on Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. over Doan Brook Creek beginning Monday, May 8. While most work will occur off of the roadway, intermittent lane closures will take place on MLK Jr. Dr. north of Superior Avenue for deliveries of construction material outside of peak travel times. The sidewalk will also be affected intermittently. See map for location details. Flaggers will maintain traffic in both directions and assist pedestrians during temporary closures. Beginning Wednesday, March 1, crews will restrict East 105th Street to one lane in each direction between Euclid and Chester avenues while crews work on replacing the pavement on the existing southbound lanes. Traffic will remain restricted to one lane in each direction through mid to late September 2017. Additionally, the sidewalk on the west side of E 105th between Euclid and Chester will be closed throughout construction. Pedestrians should follow the posted pedestrian detour.
All lanes will remain open on Euclid and Chester Avenues at East 105th Street.
In preparation for the construction of Centric, there is no longer on-street parking along
E. 116th Street and E. 117th Street. Effective immediately, cars parked in areas designated in red on the map below will be ticketed or towed.
Beginning Tuesday, December 27th, E. 117th Street between Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road will be closed to public access. Access to Cleveland Institute of Art parking lots will be maintained. Please plan your route accordingly.

Starting November 30th, Lot 45 located north of Mayfield Road and west of the Little Italy University RTA station will be closed permanently in preparation for the construction of the Centric development.
Starting the week of November 28th 2016, Schirmer Construction LLC a contractor to Cuyahoga County Public Works will commence work on the storm water conduits at the base of Cedar Glen. The south sidewalk underneath the bridge carrying CSX, Norfolk and Southern and GCRTA’s trains will be closed for the duration of the project. See map with pedestrian detour below.
Pedestrians are encouraged to follow detour signs. GCRTA’s bus loop lane will be intermittently reduced to 12' throughout the duration of the project. The curb lane for westbound traffic on Cedar Glen Pkwy will also intermittently be reduced but not eliminated. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic signs will be in place.
Work is scheduled for completion by September 4, 2017.
