Financial Essentials for Small Businesses

University Circle Inc., through its Uptown Business Association, offers a program for small business owners to learn the basics of managing their business finances. The Financial Essentials for Small Businesses program is the perfect opportunity to get a fresh start on bookkeeping while receiving and learning to use QuickBooks software.  

Program Details

  • Free QuickBooks software, installation, and set up for your small business
  • Two 3-hour financial management classes
  • Two 2-hour 1-on-1 sessions for personal consultation and account setup
  • A deposit of $100 will be held to participate. This deposit will be refunded after full completion of the program. 

 Program Eligibility

  • Business must be in operation for at least 1-year
  • Business must have actual transactions (buying and selling)
  • Business must be willing to use a separate bank account for their business transactions

Class Options

We will run two separate program tracks. One track will begin in the fall on Saturday mornings while the other will begin in the winter on Wednesday evenings 

Wednesday Evening Program

  • January 11 - First Financial Management Class
  • January & February - Individual 1-on-1 sessions
  • March 8 - Second Financial Management Class 
  • April 5 - Program Completion and Reception
