RDL Architects Receives Gold Award for Best Exterior Architectural Design

Honored by HBA at the 2015 Cleveland Choice Awards

CLEVELAND, Ohio (March 31, 2015) – RDL Architects is pleased to be awarded the Gold Award for Best Exterior Architectural Design in the Condo/Cluster Under 2,500 square feet category by The Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Cleveland. The award was presented for the 118 Flats-Square project at the 2015 Cleveland Choice Awards earlier this month.

Located in Cleveland’s historic University Circle neighborhood on East 118th Street, the 18-unit community of one-bedroom apartments boasts enticing design, amenities and an aesthetic unlike any other. The 118 Flats-Square is a continued collaboration project with WXZ Development in transforming East 118th Street. This development offers architecturally distinctive design that’s fresh, flexible and ideal for those who seek sophisticated city living.

The contemporary exterior design characteristics involve clean, modern lines, dramatic butterfly roofs, ample glazing, white and gray materials set off by dark wood panels at balconies, and bright, bold colors at the building’s entry foyers.
