The Neighborhood Without Borders

Sculpture Center

With a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere, The Sculpture Center invites all University Circle first time visitors to enjoy the artwork and consider the ideas and cultural currents it suggests. Sculpture is often as fun and visually surprising as it is thought provoking, and the Center encourages patrons to explore this medium of art in great depth.

Mission of The Sculpture Center
The Sculpture Center is a not-for-profit arts institution dedicated to the advancement of the careers of emerging Ohio sculptors and the preservation of Ohio outdoor sculpture as a means to provide support for artists and to effect the enrichment, education, enjoyment, and visual enhancement of the Cleveland community and greater region.

Visiting The Sculpture Center
The Sculpture Center connects Cleveland and its visitors with the artists and inspired three-dimensional and installation art of Ohio and our greater region. In the fall season, visitors to The Sculpture Center can see the sculptural or installation work of rapidly rising, mid-career, and established artists from this geographical region. Throughout the winter and spring, the visitor can explore the most current trends in sculpture making through the work of four to six early career Ohio sculptors showcased in the Window to Sculpture Series of one-person exhibitions. In the summer months, visitors can view the artwork of over 20 artists in the extremely popular and critically acclaimed annual exhibition of small sculpture by artists from this geographical region, juried by a preeminent artist, curator, or art critic.
