UCI launched the University Circle Improvement District (UCID) in 2008 to widen and diversify its service offerings throughout University Circle and beyond in maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive district. UCI has created and implemented a new portfolio of services to accommodate the needs of its members, partners, and broader community, offering a variety of shared and fee-based services that include the University Circle Police Department, the University Circle Ambassadors, cooperative purchasing, the uptown business association Association, vehicle maintenance, and marketing.
