Join us for coffee and conversation with University Circle's best and brightest curators. Over the course of four weeks, you will have the opportunity to sit and chat with different curators from University Circle's most distinguished institutions. This is your opportunity to discover what curators do, why they do it, how they got their start, and how their research and discoveries impact the museums, your lives and, in some cases, the world.

10:30 a.m.-Noon Buena Vista Sandstone: A science story about human use of a valued natural resource
Dr. David Saja, Curator of Mineralogy The Buena Vista sandstone is a historical building stone that was mined here in Ohio, and shipped for use to destinations around North America. Dr. Saja is a sedimentary petrologist who studies local sandstones using thin slices of rock viewed with a polarizing microscope.
