Wednesday, October 4 10:30 a.m.-Noon Buena Vista Sandstone: A science story about human use of a valued natural resource
Dr. David Saja, Curator of Mineralogy The Buena Vista sandstone is a historical building stone that was mined here in Ohio, and shipped for use to destinations around North America. Dr. Saja is a sedimentary petrologist who studies local sandstones using thin slices of rock viewed with a polarizing microscope.
