December 7th - 12:00pm to 7:00pm

Experience Cleveland’s cultural treasures free of charge at the 21st Annual Holiday CircleFest on Sunday, December 7, 2014. This event is the perfect way to start the holiday season, and to introduce family and friends to University Circle, Cleveland’s neighborhood without borders.

Free skating at The Rink at Wade Oval from Noon - 7pm.  Skate Rentals $3.

From 1:00-5:30 p.m., more than a dozen of University Circle’s renowned museums, gardens, galleries, churches, and schools open their doors free of charge and offer an afternoon of activities, music, food, fun, and shopping. Visitors can look forward to live performances from talented musicians, craft making, historic displays of holiday toys, storytelling, live animals, the city’s best gingerbread house competition, and much more. Looking for the perfect holiday gift? There’s no better place to shop than Holiday CircleFest.

Outside, Wade Oval becomes Cleveland’s Central Park with free horse-drawn carriage rides, ice carving demonstrations, The Rink at Wade Oval (from 1:00-7:00 p.m.). From 5:30-6:00 p.m., the activities will conclude with The Cleveland Museum of Art’s dramatic Winter Lights Lantern Procession.

1:00-7:00 p.m. – Enjoy a meal from Cleveland’s famous food trucks on Wade Oval, or refreshments from the Wade Oval Information Center. Students from Montessori High School will have a s'mores bar, simple baked goods, and hot beverages.
1:00-5:00 p.m. – Free horse-drawn carriage rides. The carriage rides will begin on Wade Oval across from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

1:00-5:00 p.m. - The weather is cooling and there is a crispness in the air. It’s that time of year again to prepare for the joy and merriment of the season. To start off the season in a festive way, attend the Junior League of Cleveland’s Children’s Holiday Shop and Treasures in the Attic at Holiday CircleFest!
 
If you are looking for a way to include children into the holiday spirit, the JLC’s Children’s Holiday Shop is the perfect solution. Children can bring a hat, pair of gloves, or scarf to donate to a foster care child in need and get the opportunity to decorate a holiday cookie to take home.
 
While the children are making cookies and wrapping their gifts to a child in need, parents can enjoy light refreshments at a reasonable price and shop at our Treasures in the Attic sale to find that perfect holiday gift. Treasures in the Attic has holiday items, silver, crystal, linens, furs, jewelry (real and costume), vintage clothing, and household accessories.
 
All proceeds benefit the Junior League of Cleveland mission and programs that support our current signature initiative, youth aging out of foster care.
