The Dittrick Medical History Center and Museum is dedicated to the study of the medical past through a distinguished collection of rare books, museum artifacts, archives and images. The Center originated as part of the Cleveland Medical Library Association (est. 1894) and today functions as an interdisciplinary study center within the College of Arts and Sciences of Case Western Reserve University.

The Sculpture Center introduces sculpture to the public through its "Window to Sculpture" exhibit series, forums and lectures. Rockefeller Park Cleveland Cultural Gardens
Located between Interstate 90 and University Circle, along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Boulevard, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens are a unique chain of gardens within Cleveland's Rockefeller Park. They represent an array of ethnic groups that call Cleveland home. Each garden is distinctive, yet collectively they represent a city in harmony.

Fine Arts Garden
South of The Cleveland Museum of Art's historic entrance, the picturesque Fine Arts Garden and Wade Lagoon are the perfect place to relax, enjoy the outdoor sculpture or snap a picture during a day in University Circle. The Fine Arts Garden is a 15-acre landscaped public park designed in 1927 by Boston-based Olmsted Brothers firm, founded by Central Park designer Frederick Law Olmsted. Its beauty attracts bridal parties searching for the perfect backdrop for photos as well as casual visitors seeking relaxation in a magnificent setting.

Lake View Cemetery is known as Cleveland's "outdoor museum." Its 285 acres are a treasure chest of discoveries in architecture, geology, sculpture, animal life and horticulture.

Wade Oval
After a $1.4 million renovation in 2003, the park in the heart of University Circle now includes a beautiful new performance stage, which serves as the site for concerts, events, and performances. Other amenities include drinking fountains, benches, and meandering pathways. New fiber-optic technology allows wireless Internet surfing for those with laptop computers. Wade Oval is the perfect place to take a walk, eat lunch and spend time with family and friends-- all with a fantastic view of some of University Circle's most cherished destinations as well as Case's Peter B. Lewis Building. Steven Litt, architecture critic for The Plain Dealer, said, "UCI has turned the park into a postcard-perfect amenity worthy of any city in the world. In fact, on a warm October morning with a hint of color in the foliage, it's hard to imagine a better place to be. Anywhere."

Severance Hall, the home of the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra, reopened in January 2000 following a $36-million renovation and expansion. Hailed as one of America's most beautiful concert halls, Severance Hall includes a 2,000-seat main concert hall and a 400-seat chamber hall; the architecturally stunning Grand Foyer; spacious lobbies, reception rooms and galleries, and a restaurant overlooking the Fine Arts Garden and Wade Lagoon. The Cleveland Orchestra performs in Severance Hall September through May and at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls in the summer.  Education and Family Concerts and performances by the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra complement The Cleveland Orchestra's season of classical music performances.

The mission of the Cleveland Public Library is to be the best urban library system in the country by providing access to the worldwide information that people and organizations need in a timely, convenient, and equitable manner. The Martin Luther King Jr. Branch features many educational programs throughout the year, including an annual commemorative program honoring the legacy of Dr. King, an African-American Art Show in January and February, and a summer reading club for children.
