Come see The Cleveland Museum of Art's award-winning Parade that integrates visual arts, dance, and music. A Day in the Circle
Dinosaurs, Dragons, and Armor, Oh My!
The Cleveland Cultural Collaborative and Cuyahoga Community College's Center for Aging Initiatives introduce "A Day in the Circle," a new series of lifelong learning programs in University Circle. The Cleveland Music School Settlement
Diaspora of the Drum
Join in the fun at The Cleveland Music School Settlement's annual benefit. Tony-award-winning choreographer and tap dancer Savion Glover, in his first Cleveland appearance, is featured in the world premiere of Diaspora of the Drum by local composer Eric Gould. Performed by the Cleveland Chamber Symphony and Glover's jazz ensemble with banjo and African percussion, the piece will showcase Glover in spirited tap solos that reflect the history of dance rhythms from Africa to the Americas. This exhibition features black-and-white photographs exploring bird nests as architecture taken by local artist Judith McMillan. Curator's Forum: Fossil Mammals from 14,000 Feet
Dr. Darin Croft, museum research associate, will discuss new species he discovered through his field research in northern Chile and Bolivia. Arms and Armor from Imperial Austria
During the late Middle Ages, armor served the practical purpose of protecting the wearer during combat as well as expressing his social status. There were no more illustrious patrons of this era than the Habsburgs, the ruling family of the Holy Roman Empire during the 16th century. A Fugitive's Path: Escape on the Underground Railroad
In this interactive program, visitors travel to the year 1852 and become fugitives fleeing from the bonds of slavery. They experience firsthand what slaves encountered during their bid for freedom, and on their journey meet people - abolitionists, slave hunters, free blacks, and Quakers - some of whom are helpful, some indifferent, and others treacherous. Crispin Glover at The Cinematheque
The Cinematheque welcomes screen actor Crispin Glover, who will present a full evening of unclassifiable entertainment worthy of this iconoclastic cult icon. The Cleveland Women's Orchestra
73rd Anniversary Concert
Founded in 1936, the Women's Orchestra is the oldest established women's orchestra in the country. FusionFest 2008
Cleveland's cross-disciplinary performing arts festival is the only multi-arts performing arts festival produced by a regional theatre.
