Future Connections Program Manager
Full time
$35-40,000 per year
• Coordinate a nine-week summer college and career readiness program for CMSD high school students.
• Facilitate annual assessment in collaboration with an outside evaluator and develop annual program plan with the Advisory Board.
• Develop school year component of the program.
• Cultivate and secure businesses and cultural institutions to serve as host sites for the program.
• B.A. degree in Education, Social Work, Business or related degree, Masters degree or equivalent work experience with youth and/or workforce development programming in an urban school district preferred.
• Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with diverse constituencies. Experience in working with urban youth is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple schedules, conduct meetings, interact with businesses and schools, create partnerships and support for programs.
• Detailed knowledge of English spelling, grammar, sentence construction. Ability to communicate clearly in writing and to edit written materials for clarity and errors.
• Experience with computer software including: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and Access.
• Supply personal transportation to and from school sites
• Travel alone in distressed areas.
