Employment OpportunitiesJob TitleClinical Coordinator Hours and Rate Full-time 40 hours/week Salary commensurate with skills and experience Main Responsibilities • Coordination of Clinics: Provides scheduling for specialty clinics. Acts as clinical liaison with front desk scheduling staff. Resolves scheduling conflicts, monitors room utilization and maintains clinic patient flow daily. • Administration: Ensures policy and procedure manuals are in place for medical, lab and pharmacy. Follows up with abnormal STI’s and mammogram results, including sending in appropriate papers to state and local agencies. Triages patient phone calls and routes to appropriate medical staff and calls in patient prescriptions. Handles patient telephone inquiries. Ensures all regularly used forms are adequately stocked and readily available. Coordinates clinic room assignments for specialty clinics. Monitors inventory and orders supplies as deemed necessary. • Medication Assistance Service: Assists pharmacy coordinator with facilitating patient access to pharmaceutical companies’ patient assistance programs. Interviews patients to assess eligibility. Assists in completing program application, tracks program expirations and assists patients with renewal process. Assists with referrals for Medicaid coverage and to other service providers. • Volunteer Management: Responsible for the orientation, training, scheduling and supervision of volunteer history takers. Coordinates scheduling of volunteer physicians in specialty clinics. Initiates, recruits and conducts volunteer Medical Assistant trainings. Acts as primary liaison for medical volunteers. • Other duties: Attends departmental and Free Clinic all-staff meetings; contributes to departmental and organizational decision-making through active participation in the process. Works effectively and positively with co-workers and volunteers. Other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
