Manager of Web Development
Executing changes to websites as needed using current programming languages and techniques; managing online recruitment initiatives; serving as project manager for development of web redesign and updates; coordinating outside vendors and hosting partners; managing a system for evaluating site traffic and tracking the origination of that traffic; and developing a method of accepting online payments from students.
The successful candidate will have experience administering Apache web server software; experience assisting developers in deploying PHP, HTML and ColdFusion applications in an Apache environment; and experience with various other web environments and software.
This position also requires experience with current industry standards for media delivery (webcasting, podcasting, imagery, captioning) and content storage (e.g. XML, RSS, SMIL, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL).
Such knowledge and skills are normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree with two years experience in web design/management or six years work in web design/management including time pursuing relevant education. Experience with graphic design preferred, including proficiency in Photoshop or similar software.
