Start! Heart Walk Summer Intern Hours and Rate Unpaid internship, 20-30 hours/week May/June-August 15, 2008 Main Responsibilities The Start! Heart Walk Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting permanent staff with the logistical aspects of the 2008 Start! Cleveland Heart Walk which will be held on Sunday, August 10th at Progressive Field/ Gateway Plaza. These responsibilities are related primarily to event planning and offer great networking opportunities in the event planning industry. This internship also gives great experience working with a non-profit organization. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting volunteers, coordinating healthy food options for event participants, creating a positive and energetic route experience for participants, coordinating a VIP breakfast (invitations, food coordination with caterer, etc) and planning a memorable experience for survivors of heart disease and stroke.
